In 2019, Paul moved to South Florida and became involved in the Treasure Coast music scene both as a performer and consumer. He soon observed some significant gaps in the type of music that was being performed. Specifically, there were very few bands that could reliably replicate songs with 2- & 3-part vocal harmonies or could play both semi acoustic and fully electric songs and sets. Additionally and sadly, many bands were playing the same old overplayed songs that everyone else was playing. Paul sought to find like-minded musicians that wanted to address and conquer the musical gaps that existed. The recruiting and auditions began in 2021. Mark and Gil were the first to join, followed by Alan.
Vinyl Redux plays very recognizable songs from the 60’s through present day that most other bands don’t. Vinyl Redux can tailor their musical offerings to the venue, event, and audience. Their song sets can range from lighter semi acoustic songs featuring artists like America, the Eagles, Jimmy Buffet, to a 60’s era rock, and British invasion set featuring artists like the Byrd’s, Kinks, Lovin Spoonful, Monkeys and Zombies. When it’s time to transition to modern day (80’s to present) rock and R&B artists their songs include diverse yet popular artists like Blackberry Smoke, Counting Crows, REM,Third Eye Blind, Gin Blossoms, Tom Petty, and Zac Brown. Most of our songs feature two- and three-part vocal harmonies with instrumental licks and instruments as close to the original recordings as possible.
